Sunglasses to suit your style

Are your eyes sensitive to glare? Protect your eyes from the sun's harmful UV rays with high-quality sunglasses from S W Allen. We offer a wide range of sunglasses, from our own value for money range to the latest designer brands. Whether you need prescription or non-prescription sunglasses, we have got you covered.

You can choose from three types of sunglasses, including cosmetic, general and special sunglasses. Cosmetic spectacles do not give significant protection against the sun and are worn as fashion accessories. General purpose sunglasses are for reducing glare in bright light or in circumstances such as driving in daylight. Special purpose sunglasses are for activities such as skiing, or for people abnormally sensitive to glare.

Polarising lenses

Polarising lenses

Polarising lenses reduce reflections from wet or polished road surfaces, but they reveal the stress patterns in older types of toughened windscreens, which can be hazardous. These lenses are a form of protective eye wear designed primarily to prevent bright sunlight and high-energy visible light from damaging or discomforting the eyes.
Photochromic lenses

Photochromic lenses

Photochromic lenses darken on exposure to sunlight and should react efficiently in changing light conditions. These lenses should not leave much tint present when the lens is not exposed to the sun. Once the light source is removed (for example by walking indoors), the lenses will gradually return to their normal state. Contact us for more information.
